Question 6

What is gold vermeil and does Arvino manufacture it?

Accepted Answer

Gold vermeil is 925 sterling silver coated with a minimum of 2.5 microns of gold plating. It is the most durable and premium non-solid-gold option, recognised by the US FTC and widely accepted across UK and EU markets. Arvino manufactures gold vermeil at 2.5 microns standard and up to 5 microns for heavy vermeil programmes.

Question 7

What certifications does a jewellery manufacturer need for US retail compliance?

Accepted Answer

For US retail compliance, jewellery manufacturers typically need CTPAT certification (for smooth US customs clearance), RJC Certification (required by many US retailers as an ethical sourcing standard) and may be required to pass individual retailer compliance audits. Arvino holds all three: CTPAT, RJC and has passed audits for Macy's, Urban Outfitters and Cost Plus World Market.

Question 8

How long does jewellery product development take at Arvino?

Accepted Answer

CAD development typically takes 1–2 weeks. Physical prototype production takes a further 2–3 weeks. After sample approval, full production runs take 6–10 weeks depending on volume and complexity. For brands using our Flexible Stock Programme, pre-production samples can be available in as little as 10–14 days.

This is one of our strongest categories, with deep experience in the materials, finishes and quality standards expected by demi-fine consumers in the USA, UK and Europe.
